Living a World Class Life!

Living a World Class Life!

Yesterday was an extremely busy day for me. I worked from 4:30 am until 9 pm. I usually am finished with work by around 4 or 5 in the afternoon. However, last night we held the second teleseminar training with Don Conrad. It was another fantastic training. If you're an Income for Life member and you didn't attend the free training, you made a costly mistake. I've personally implemented Don's strategies with my investments and noticed a significant change.

With my last vacancy, we evaluated over 30 applicants for the property. It took us two months and several showings to finally secure a qualified tenant. Recently, we implemented Don's system and quickly found a qualified tenant. In fact, we only had to check and investigate two applicants. His phone interview approach works like magic. Tomorrow we are signing the lease for our new tenant. We saved ours of time and now have a new qualified tenant! We still have two more training calls with Don. The next call is Tuesday, August 19th. This call is free to all Income for Life Members. You can get the call details from your local Income for Life Group.

After the conference call, I settled down on the couch to watch the Olympics with my wife. Aren't the Olympics fascinating? I truly admire every single athlete competing.

My wife and I were glued to the TV for the evening's swimming competitions. During one of the races, the camera settled in on a swimmer from the United States. And no, it wasn't Phelps. I had never heard of this swimmer before. They were doing close up shots before a race. In the close up shot, we noticed this one swimmer was literally shaking. His hands were shaking. Hell, his whole body appeared to be shaking. He was so nervous that he was shaking from head to toe.

Imagine preparing for four years to compete in an event that lasts two minutes! Imagine knowing that you have one shot to achieve your goal. Would you be nervous? I would. I probably would have had my head in a bucket getting sick.

I can still picture this swimmer in my head as I write this post. What I realized this morning is:

Life is better when your doing rather than watching.

Even though he was so nervous, I would have traded places with him in a second. Why? Because he gets to tell his kids and grandkids stories about how he competed in the Olympics. He gets the memories of of being an Olympian for the rest of his life.

I don't.

Now, I certainly can tell my kids and grandkids about watching the Olympics. They probably won't care very much. Anyone can talk about watching the Olympics. Only a select few can actually talk about competing in the Olympics.

This swimmer was willing to sacrifice hours of his time, day after day, to train and practice for his two minute race. He was willing to control his diet so that he was top physical condition. He was willing to make swimming his top priority in life. He was willing to do whatever it took to make it to the Olympics.

I wasn't.

Maybe we all can't be world class athletes. However, we can live World Class lives. We live world class lives by doing things, rather than watching other people do things. We live World Class lives by acting in spite of fear, shaking but taking action anyhow. We live World Class lives by setting BIG goals and then doing whatever it takes to achieve those goals. Life is in the "doing."

You can't live a World Class life on the couch with a remote control in your hand. You have to do something. You have to get moving and make something happen. Don't wait because time passes quickly. Do!

What can you do this week that will make you so nervous that you'll shake with fear?
